Children’s Books – The Owner
V. Vere is a 53-year-old Filipina American who is passionate about connecting with fellow Filipino-Americans. Leaving the Philippines at 17 years old and staying in a foreign land (U.S.), her journey has been exciting yet challenging. Luckily, she learned how to adapt to the new environment.
She believes in the values of Filipino-Americans, such as being warm and loving, having strong family ties, and extended families. She also wants to be an instrument for others to learn about Filipino culture, especially the younger generations. This desire made her interested in publishing Tagalog-translated children’s books for Fil-Am bilingual children. She wants to help children learn Tagalog words the easiest way. With the pure of intention of helping children, she started Fil Am Bilingual Books.
FilAm Bilingual Books
As FilAm, the owner knows how it is challenging to teach the kids a second language (Filipino), especially if they are in a country where children only communicate in English or the native language.
The owner of FilAm Bilingual Books has the goal of providing educational materials for Fil-Am children around the world. It aims to make learning a second language more enjoyable for kids and beginners. FilAm Bilingual Books offers coloring books and classical nursery rhymes such as Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars, Mary Had a Little Lamb, etc. and Original Filipino nursery rhymes such as Leron Leron Sinta and Bahay Kubo. These books are translated carefully into Filipino (Tagalog) and English languages. The owner started publishing books in October 2021 through Amazon.
FilAm Bilingual Books’ mission is to help children and beginners learn Filipino (Tagalog) through books. We want to make reading more fun for children, starting with their learning journey. We believe learning a second language should be fun, not dull or complicated for children to grasp. That’s why we have created books that are colorful and engaging so that kids can learn while having fun!
